Business Boon or Budget Buster?

State lawmakers want to eliminate the property tax that businesses pay on equipment, but can they do it without damaging the communities who rely on that revenue to pay for police and fire protection and other vital services? That’s one of the big questions that local governments have about eliminating the personal property tax. WDET's Pat Batcheller talked about it with Samantha Harkins of the Michigan Municipal League.
