NPR’s Michele Norris is coming to Detroit this week for a conversation on race. Besides writing a book on her own experiences, Michele has launched “The Race Card Project”, where people describe in six words how race informs their interactions with others. She’s coming to Motor City Casino and Hotel on Thursday for an event sponsored by WDET, and presented by Inforum, one of the largest women’s business groups in the country. Terry Barclay is the president of Inforum, and she told WDET's Pat Batcheller how Michele’s visit can help people talk about race. WDET's Craig Fahle will host a question-and-answer session with Michele after her speech. Find more details on WDET's events page.
And write your own "post-card" on Michele Norris's web site.
