Port Huron-To-Mackinac Race Sets Sail Saturday

The annual Bayview Yacht Club Port Huron-to-Mackinac race begins Saturday morning. Dozens of sailboats will travel more than 200 nautical miles north on Lake Huron toward the finish line near Mackinac Island. Although the heat wave is subsidging, race chairman Charlie Elmer says the lingering warm weather could slow the start of the race a little. WDET's Pat Batcheller interviewed Elmer.
