Latino leaders in Southwest Detroit are asking for more input in a non-profit group's future development efforts in the community. That was the focus of a meeting earlier this week between residents and officials of Southwest Solutions. WDET's Martina Guzman was at the meeting. She talked with WDET's Pat Batcheller about Southwest Solutions, its mission, and the neighbors' desire to balance the needs of its clients with preserving the community's identity.
NOTE: El Rancho Restaurant has been in the Southwest Detroit Community for almost 30 years not 40 years as stated in the interview.
