'Equal protection must prevail,' Judge Strikes Down Ban on Same-Sex Marriage

At a trial that was followed nation-wide by civil rights activists and same-sex couples has come to a close. U.S. Judge Bernard Friedman says "equal protection must prevail" and struck down Michigan's constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. Frank Aiello is the Vice President of the Board of Directors at Affirmations, a gay and lesbian advocacy organization. He spoke to WDET's Martina Guzman about the ruling.
