Johnny Headband are a Hot Button Topic

Brothers Keith and Chad Thompson, with drummer Robbie Saunderson, are Johnny Headband.

They’re a bold band -- deceptively smart and danceable. One writer said they sound like Ween meshed with Prince at his sexiest.

This Friday (July 27, 2012) Johnny headband celebrates the release of their new 7-inch vinyl record for the song “Hot Button Topic,” which appears on their latest album, Who Cooks For You.

The brothers Thompson stopped by the station this week to talk about making music with WDET’s Travis Wright.
