You hear it often...portions of Hines Drive closed due to flooding, especially after heavy rain. But WHY does Hines Drive always seem to flood? Because it’s supposed to, according to Wayne County. Lawrence Hemingway is the assistant director of County parks. He says Hines Park provides a natural barrier to protect nearby homes and businesses from flooding. He talked with WDET's Pat Batcheller.
