Sequestration: It's A Waiting Game

Automatic federal budget cuts are scheduled to take effect on March 1, unless President Obama and Congress can find a way to stop them. The so-called sequestration cuts could mean thousands of jobs lost here in Michigan over the next six months, many of them tied to the military. Macomb County is home to hundreds of defense contractors and Selfridge Air National Guard Base. County Executive Mark Hackel tells WDET's Pat Batcheller that if the cuts happen, the economy will feel them. Click on the audio link above to hear the conversation.
