Grosse Pointe Shores Mulls Move to Macomb

Should Grosse Pointe Shores leave Wayne County to join Macomb County? That’s the question before the city council tonight. Council member Dan Schulte has proposed the move…which he says would save property owners millions of tax dollars. A small portion of the Shores is already in Macomb County. Residents would have to vote on the issue…and then it would be up to voters in both counties to approve or reject the move. WDET’s Noah Ovshinsky will cover tonight’s meeting.
