Eight Republican presidential candidates debated at Oakland University Wednesday night. Most of the discussion focused on the economy and the role of government. It featured Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Jon Hunstman, Rick Perry, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, and Rick Santorum. Bill Ballenger is the editor of Inside Michigan Politics.
