State of the City: Councilman Reacts

Detroit Mayor Dave Bing says the city is making progress despite the threat of a state takeover of its finances. The mayor gave his State of the City address Wednesday night, heard live on WDET. Bing announced the creation of a new effort to combat blight with the help of construction magnate Bill Pulte. The mayor also said Detroit Police would work with other law enforcement agencies to address gun crimes. WDET's Pat Batcheller got reaction Thursday from City Council President Pro-tem Gary Brown.
