Macomb County Awaits Impact of EFM

Governor Rick Snyder is expected to name Washington attorney Kevyn Orr as Detroit's first emergency financial manager on Thursday. Orr is a partner at Jones Day, which specializes in business and municipal turnarounds. His decisions will be felt beyond the city, and suburban leaders think it may take longer than 18 months for Orr do get Detroit back on the right track financially. WDET's Pat Batcheller asked Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel why Orr's appointment matters to his constituents, and what he hopes Orr can accomplish.
