Detroit is running out of time to get its fiscal house in order.
That’s the view of David Littmann, senior economist of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, as written in an editorial for the Detroit News last Sunday.
Littmann says the city should do what it can under the terms of its consent agreement with the state because the alternatives are worse.
He spoke with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn this week.
Littmann says Detroit has been ignoring fiscal realities.
