An Update on the "Digital Goods and Services Tax Fairness Act"

A new bill is being considered in the U-S House and Senate which protects consumers when they purchase ‘Apps’ and other digital media. The ‘Digital Goods and Services Tax Fairness Act’ aims to prevent companies from triple-taxing consumers when they buy digital goods. Sam Whitehorn is the Executive Director of Download Fairness Coalition. He spoke with WDET’s J. Carlisle Larsen about how the bill will clarify the tax law throughout the country.
