Detroit Gains Jobs in the Manufacturing Sector

In a report published by the Brookings Institute this week, Detroit had the second highest gain in jobs in the manufacturing sector. The findings of the report indicate that metropolitan areas, such as Detroit, depend on the manufacturing sector more than ever before. Economist Susan Helper co-authored the report. WDET's Pat Batcheller spoke with Dr. Helper about the findings.
