Michigan Dems Call Candidate Clark Durant's Non-Profit a Scam

The Michigan Democratic Part is alleging that Republican U.S. Senate candidate Clark Durant’s salary from a nonprofit foundation violates IRS rules against private enrichment.

Democrats filed a formal complaint on the matter on Monday

Mark Brewer is the chair of the Michigan Democratic Party. He tells WDET's Travis Wright that Durant's non-profit is a sham created to illegally funnel more than a million dollars to the politician and his daughter.

For his part, Republican U-S Senate candidate Durant calls the allegations “unfounded” and says there is “no basis in fact or law in these accusations” end quote.
