Credit Unions are Growing Customer Base

Michigan Credit Union are experiencing a boom in its customers base, the number of new members is flourishing. Michigan credit unions have seen an increase of deposits of more 2 billion dollars. Dave Adams is CEO of the Michigan Credit Union League. He says one of the reasons the Industry is experiencing such growth is because customers are frustrated with high bank fees. There are more than one thousand credit Unions throughout the state. Nationally, credit union membership rose 2.7 percent to 93.9 million in 2012.
