Detroit Mayor Dave Bing says he's terribly disappointed in the consent agreement proposed by Governor Snyder to address the city's financial crisis. Bing says the deal would establish a nine-member advisory panel that would have power over elected officials. The mayor says that's not the spirit of cooperation he's looking for from Lansing. City Council President pro-tem Gary Brown says he would not vote for the proposal as written, but he adds that it contains many good ideas, and that if certain changes are made, it could be the city's best option to avoid a total state takeover. Brown spoke with WDET's Pat Batcheller. Click the audio link above to hear the conversation.
