New Charter Concerns Council Leader

Voters in Detroit have approved Proposal C, which makes sweeping changes to the city charter. The new document will create the office of inspector general, to monitor city government and root out any corruption. It also gives the city council the power to draw seven districts for the 2013 election. City Council President Charles Pugh was against the charter proposal.
