A spokesman for Detroit Mayor Dave Bing says D-DOT buses were not running early Friday morning. Dan Lijana says bus drivers reported for work, but refused to board their vehicles, a day after a driver got into a fight with passengers. D-DOT apologized for the extreme delays that left riders stranded at stops all over the city. WDET's Pat Batcheller spoke early Friday with Mayor Bing's communications director, Steve Serkaian, about the work stoppage and how the administration is responding to drivers' safety concerns.
