Fans of the Detroit’s scrappy, independent film theater, the Burton Theatre, got an unpleasant surprise Monday night on Facebook. The operators of the two-year old venue announced that they had to shut down immediately. Nathan Faustyn is Director of Programming at the Burton. He spoke to WDET’s Rob St. Mary about the announcement.
