Bomb Threat Closes Detroit Windsor Tunnel

The Detroit Windsor Tunnel has been closed because of a security threat. Windsor Police say an anonymous bomb threat was phoned in about one p.m. All cars in the tunnel have been evacuated.

Law enforcement agencies have set up barricades on both the Detroit and Windsor sides of the tunnel.

There’s no word on when the border crossing might re-open. Drivers headed to or coming from Windsor should the Ambassador Bridge.
