Thousands of Metro Detroiters will be taking Thursday off--whether their employers know it or not--to attend Opening Day at Comerica Park. The Tigers host the Boston Red Sox in the first game of the 2012 regular season. For businesses around the stadium, it means a lot of money. Sandy Baruah, President and CEO of the Detroit Regional Chamber, joins WDET to discuss the economic impact of Opening Day on Detroit businesses. He says few things unify the city and suburbs like Opening Day.
