Lake Superior State University's list of words and phrases to be symbolically banished in 2012 is "amazing". That word is on the 2012 list for overused, misused, or generally useless words. "Occupy", "blowback", and "ginormous" were also among the most irritating words, as submitted by the public. "Banned" phrases include "win the future", "baby bump", and "shared sacrifice".
