Ford 2Q Earnings Up, Chrysler Down

Ford and Chrysler issued their 2nd quarter financial statements Tuesday. Ford says it earned $2.4 billion for the period, while Chrysler posted a $370 million loss due to the refinancing cost of paying off its government loans. Otherwise, Chrysler says it would have earned $181 million for the quarter. WDET's Pat Batcheller spoke with Auto Observer editor-in-chief Michelle Krebs about the numbers.
