This American Life
This American Life is best described as a movie for radio. There are people in dramatic situations. Things happen to them. There are funny moments and emotional moments and—hopefully—moments where the people in the story say interesting, surprising things about it all. |

A new political group is giving voters the change to nominate their own presidential candidate through an Internet convention. The group is called Americans Elect. It describes itself as a non-partisan organization made up of people from across the political spectrum. Their goal is to break away from the traditional party conventions and recruit a candidate chosen directly by the people. Elliot Ackerman is the Chief Operating Officer of Americans Elect. He says if you can vote… you can join the campaign. He spoke with WDET's Pat Batcheller. Click the link above to hear the conversation.
