Madness in Magenta: Inside "A Play by Franco Vitella"

The Magenta Giraffe Theatre Company is presenting a play inspired by the pains of the creative process. In A Play by Franco Vitella, written by Detroit playwright Franco Vitella, the madness of writer’s block takes center stage.

Vitella and Magenta’s Executive Artistic Director Frannie Shepherd-Bates spoke about the production with WDET’s Travis Wright.

Franco Vitella wrote and stars in “A Play by Franco Vitella.” It opens tomorrow [FRI] at the Abreact Performance Space, in Detroit.

Magenta Giraffe Theatre Company of Detroit presents A Play by Franco Vitella, by Franco Vitella, directed by Jonathan Davidson. The show runs from January 31-February 22, 2014. Tickets are $15-$18, with pay-what-you-can tickets available to all performances. Tickets may be reserved by phone at 313-408-7269.

A Play by Franco Vitella run Fridays at 8:00 pm and Saturdays at 8:00 pm. There will be one matinee at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 16. Dates and times are:
