Warren residents have decided to keep their Mayor for another term.
Voters in the City of Warren are giving Jim Fouts a second four-year term in the Mayor’s office. This follows his 13,000 vote victory at the polls over city council member Kathy Vogt.
Fouts is no stranger to politics and public service in Warren. He served 26 years on the city council before he was first elected mayor in 2007.
Over his time as Mayor, Fouts has worked to support American manufacturing through a well-publicized bumper sticker campaign. At one time he tried to lure General Motors’ business operations out of the Renaissance Center in Detroit to Warren where the company has had its research park, the Tech Center, in operation since the 1950s.
