Troy Mayor Says Transit Center Rejection Was Campaign Pledge

Troy city officials have rejected a proposal for a new transit center – one that would have been part of a regional transportation system…and would have been paid for by a $8.4 million federal grant. The federal funds will now be allocated elsewhere. WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter talked with the Mayor of Troy – Janice Daniels about the project. She ran for office on a tea party platform and says she voted against the transit center because of economics and principle.
