The Detroit Cash Mob

David Lewinski, a Detroit Photographer is making use of his seasonal downtime by organizing a concentrated flow of consumers for one small business in Detroit every Thursday. The inaugural event, held at the Spiral Collective succeeded in boosting profits for the book store at a time when they are usually slow. For now, the group is focusing its efforts on retailers who have merchandise available from two to twenty dollars. However Cash Mom is open to suggestions and looks to expand beyond retailers to Detroit charities and cultural attractions. The next Cash Mob will be held Thursday February 2nd at 1515 Broadway Cafe'. Information on the Detroit Cash Mob and there events can be found on Facebook.
