A new report finds that a young person convicted of a serious crime in Michigan is more likely to receive a longer sentence than an adult committing the same offense. The study was conducted by the group Second Chances 4 Youth and the Michigan branch of the American Civil Liberties Union. WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter talked with the principal author of the report – Deborah LaBelle.
