A Metro Detroit writer is celebrating the release of his first novel. Saladin Ahmed is the author of “Throne of the Crescent Moon” – a story that blends Arab myths with fantasy elements.

Ahmed spoke recently to WDET’s Rob St. Mary about the book and the business and art of writing.
