Officials Say Mall Key To Economic Future In Southfield

The first mall built in the nation – Northland Center Mall – sits in the heart of Southfield. For some critics the sprawling Northland Mall is a sign of decay in an area once invigorated by activity. But others see the mall as the possible centerpiece of economic revitalization in Southfield’s downtown.
