Detroit’s automakers are reporting another month of improved vehicle sales. WDET’s Jerome Vaughn has more. SOQ
Interest in new cars and trucks continued to grow in November…as consumers needed to replace older vehicles.
Chrysler showed the biggest improvement of Detroit’s automakers…with year-over-year sales figures jumping 45 percent.
Ford sales showed a 13 percent improvement…led by strong demand for the Explorer and Escape sport utility vehicles.
GM sales rose seven percent.
Toyota showed that its fortunes are beginning to change. The automaker posted its first sales gain since April…up nearly seven percent.
