Michelle Perron of Kresge Arts in Detroit talks about how artists help drive energy and ideas

Kresge Arts in Detroit will announce the 18 new literary and visual artists fellows today. Each of the fellowships includes an unrestricted prize of $25 thousand. Now in its fifth year the organization has awarded more than $2.5 million dollars to metro Detroiters working in the literary, performing and visual arts. Michelle Perron is the Director of Kresge Arts in Detroit. She spoke to WDET’s Martina Guzman about how artists help drive energy and ideas within the community.
