GOP Congressional Candidate Faces New District, Veteran Opponent

The Michigan legislature created a new 13th Congressional District. But the challenge for the GOP remains the same as it has for half-a-century – defeat long-time Detroit Democrat John Conyers, who is now running in the 13th. Facing Conyers is Republican congressional candidate Harry Sawicki. He tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter he knows first-hand the economic hardship people in the district deal with And Sawicki says he has the energy to make a difference in their lives.
