GM Compensation Fund Manager Says Victims Of Ignition Defect Deserve Cash

General Motors is in the midst of recalling more than 8 million vehicles for yet another problem involving ignitions. That follows the creation earlier this week of a fund to compensate victims of crashes involving an ignition switch defect – a problem GM knew about for more than a decade before addressing. The fund is being administered by attorney Kenneth Feinberg, who oversaw similar funds for victims of the 9/11 attacks and Boston Marathon bombing, along with his second-in-command, Deputy Administrator Camille Biros.
