Ficano Names New Airport Authority Chair

Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano is naming a new chair for the county’s Airport Authority Board. Ficano is appointing former MichCon chair Alfred Glancy to replace the outgoing chair of the Airport Authority Board, who resigned earlier this week. Ficano won’t say whether that resignation is connected to an ongoing federal investigation into a severance package paid to former county official Turkia Mullin. But Ficano recently told county appointees they should leave his administration if they had any conflicts of interest. The Wayne County Election Commission has approved the language in petitions for a recall effort against Ficano.
