Lecture on Diego Rivera at the Detroit Institute of arts

The Diego Rivera mural at the Detroit Institute of Arts is recognized world-wide a masterpiece. The work will be the subject of a special lecture at the DIA tonight called, “Diego Rivera: From the Mexican Revolution to Detroit.

The lecture is being given by Doctor Manuel Aguilar-Moreno, a professor of art history at California State University – Los Angeles.

He tells WDET’s Martina Guzman why the life and work of Diego Rivera continues to fascinate us.
