Detroit is on the verge of having the state of Michigan take control of its finances. City and state officials are making the final amendments to an agreement that will allow a new financial board to oversee budgetary decisions made by the Mayor and City Council. A new Project Manager would have final say over the finances. The final details were being hammered out today in Council Chambers. WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter was there and talked about it with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn.
