Officials in financially-troubled Detroit are weighing a deal that would give the state of Michigan significant control over the city. And Detroit has only weeks to consider agreeing to the deal…or will likely have an emergency manager take over its government… State officials and the Detroit City Council were embroiled in discussions about the consent agreement throughout the day. WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter was in the Council chambers…and later at a meeting of the state financial review team proposing the consent agreement.
