Detroit Council Member Seeks Delay In State Takeover

Members of the Detroit City Council say they plan to appeal Governor Rick Snyder’s decision that the city’s financial situation is so dire the state must step in. Council Members argue appointing an emergency financial manager for Detroit will do more long-term harm than good.
