Detroit Attorney Says NYC Blind To Danger Posed By Central Park

A Metro Detroit attorney is arguing in federal court that New York City’s Central Park is in violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act. Attorney Richard Bernstein, who is blind, was severely injured months ago when he was hit by a bicyclist while trying to cross into the park. He says it’s because New York officials refuse to create any access points across bike lanes -- and he’s pushing for a change that could affect Michigan parks as well.
