The U.S. Energy Department is granting a multi-million dollar loan to the company Severstal so the firm can re-tool the old Ford Rouge Plant to manufacture very strong, very light steel needed for fuel-efficient vehicles. The loan comes from a fund Michigan U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow helped create.
