Contaminated Peanut, Almond Butter Spreads Recalled

The company nSpired Natural Foods Incorporated is ordering a voluntary recall of several spreads it produces, in particular Arrowhead Mills peanut butter and MaraNatha almond butter. Officials with the Food and Drug Administration say the agency notified nSpired that the nut butter spreads have been connected to at least four different illnesses. The government says anyone who bought the brands should throw the product away immediately. Customers can contact the nSpired company for a new batch of the spread or a refund.
