Congress Considers Sharing Internet Info With Corporations

The government estimates someone tries to illegally obtain a credit card number over the internet 300-thousand times each day. Federal officials also warn that terrorists could launch a cyberattack closing-down power grids and other infrastructure that depend on computers. Congress is considering fighting such attacks by allowing private companies and agencies like the FBI to share information – something privacy advocates fear could give the government unprecedented access to private internet accounts.
