Congress Considers 'Repairing' Voting Rights Act

Congress is considering new legislation that would make changes to the Voting Rights Act, after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down key parts of the landmark civil rights law. The High Court ruled that the law was outdated -- thereby effectively freeing some southern states to change their voting laws without prior federal approval.
