A September Scorcher

September 10, 2013

"[A cold front] will bring a sharp change in temperature, from the mid-90s to temperatures probably struggling to get to the mid-60s on Friday."

Rich Pollman, National Weather Service meteorologist.

Tuesday could be the hottest September day in years in Metro Detroit. The high could tie or break the record of 94 degrees set on September 10th, 1983. Rich Pollman is the warning coordination meteorologist at the National Weather Service office in White Lake Township. He tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller the heat is coming from the central part of the country, but won't last long. Click on the audio link above to hear the conversation.
