Egypt Braces For More Violence

Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood is calling for nationwide marches Friday and the government has authorized the use of deadly force against protesters targeting police and state institutions. All of this comes after clashes between the two sides killed more than 600 people and wounded thousands more. General Motors has indefinitely closed its operations in Egypt out of concern for worker safety. Saeed Khan is an expert on the Near East at Wayne State, and joins WDET regularly to talk about what’s happening in that part of the world.
