"This is halftime, folks!"

Supporters at Napoleon's party seemed at times dismayed and in disbelief of the election returns as they rolled in throughout the evening. A few of Napoleon's supporters expressed skepticism the Wayne county Sheriff can overcome in the general election what appears to be a wide margin of support for rival candidate Mike Duggan. But Sheriff Napoleon was undeterred. He called on supporters to rally together friends and family...

"...and everybody within your reach and realm of influence, and invite them to join this movement. This is halftime, folks!"

Napoleon also used his election night speech to rail against Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr and state officials for the condition of the city of Detroit. The general ection takes place on November 5th.
